Measuring Curtain Length

Before measuring the length of your curtains, you must ask yourself the following questions: where do you want your curtains to fall? Would you like them to fall to the window sill, below the window sill, or to the floor?

If you choose to have your curtains finish above your windowsill, you should measure for them to finish 1cm - 1.5cm above the sill.

If you want your curtains to end below the windowsill, they should finish 15-20cm below the sill. If you want your curtains to be floor length, they will need to end 1cm - 1.5cm above the floor so as not to create a wear effect at the bottom of the curtain.

Our Standard Curtain Measurements

Our ready made curtains are available in an assortment of styles, designs and sizes so you can be sure that you'll find something that will suit your room.

Dimensions on the packet refer to each individual curtain - e.g. 90 x 90 per curtain, meaning both curtains together are 180. The width of both curtains should be two and a half times the width of the track or pole.

How to Hang Your New Curtains

Now that you've gotten the right measurements and purchased your curtains, you'll need to hang them to complete the look of your room. Below is a handy guide on how to hang your curtains depending on the style that you've chosen.

Eyelet Curtains

Holding the curtain with the face of the fabric towards you, fold the first eyelet away from you and thread the eyelet onto the curtain pole. When you close the curtains, you should position the first eyelet on the outside edge of the pole bracket.

This will secure the outside edge of the curtain at the end of the curtain pole.Fold the eyelets of the curtains towards and away from you in a concertina style until the entire curtain has been added to the pole.

Repeat this process again with the second curtain.

Top Tip:

Always keep one ring/eyelet on the outside edge of the pole bracket
