METHOD
Step 1. For the syrup, add the water and sugar into a saucepan, and place on a hob on medium heat until the sugar dissolves, occasionally stirring with a wooden spoon.
Step 2. Leave it to cool down, and then pour it into a jar.
Step 3. Add in the mincemeat, cover the top, and leave to infuse overnight.
Step 4. Strain the mixture and reserve the syrup.
Step 5. Grab a measuring jug and measure out 10ml of the syrup.
